Found three Kodachrome Slide images from May 1991 and a friend created a digital image of each. The adult drake Ring-necked Duck was taken at Willen Lake in North Buckinghamshire and is apparently Milton Keynes's most popular park.
The Bar-tailed Godwit was taken at Linford Gravel Pits again in North Buckinghamshire. The site, which is at Great Linford, was established as a wildfowl research centre in 1970 following decades of mineral extraction in the area. Previously known as Hanson Environmental Study Centre, The Parks Trust purchased the site in 2015 and it is now known as Linford Lakes Nature Reserve and Study Centre. The site continues to be used as a nature reserve and a base for environmental education. It is widely regarded as the most biodiverse site in Milton Keynes. Access to Linford Lakes Nature Reserve is by annual permit.

I cut my teeth, so to speak birding around North Buckinghamshire with some really very good birders. The Blackwit was a scarce bird in North Bucks and the Ring-necked Duck I'm sure was still a national rarity. Can't remember what camera I had back then probably a canon with a 400mmlens. I do remember a photographer allowing me to connect my camera body to his canon 600mm lens for the Ring-neck!
