The Kestrel and the Crow

I went this afternoon to Rainham Marsh or more specifically Wennington Marsh in the hope of seeing the two Pink-footed Geese that had been seen earlier amongst a flock of Greylags. Alas, they had moved back to Gerphins Lane, so I missed them this time!

The five Barnacle geese were a little closer though.

A Kestrel at first being mobbed in flight by a single Carrion Crow. Eventually, it decided to drop down and sit on top of a fence post, I guess in the hope that the crow would give up. Well, it didn't, it continued for about five minutes before getting bored I guess, and moving on. Unfortunately, they were not particularly close but I hope these images capture some of the action?
